Think about this for a second…
Most people own way more than one pair of shoes — sneakers for the gym, dress shoes for work, sandals for the weekend. Nobody thinks twice about that.
But when it comes to glasses, most of us make do with just one pair, and expect it to work for every part of our lives at once.?
We've always believed that eyewear should adapt to your life, not the other way around. That's the philosophy behind our consultation with Mr. C, a business owner and an influencer.
The starting point
When Mr. C first came in, he was wearing a pair of progressive lenses in his Silhouette frames, a formal, rimless frame suited to his daily desk routine at the time. The lens design itself was tuned for:
Intermediate tasks — looking at a tablet screen
Near-distance tasks — reading documents, checking his phone
It was a well-made, well-fitted pair. But it was built for one specific kind of day — and Mr. C's days were about to look very different.
What changed
Mr. C opened a high-energy water park and became more active as an influencer and a content creator Two things shifted at once:
More time outdoors. Greeting customers across a large, sunlit park, filming content on the move, and driving between locations meant far more distance vision, a different demand than his old glasses were designed around.
A different personal style. He simply wanted a second pair that felt more fun and expressive, something that matched his role as a water park host and influencer, rather than a formal office look.
This wasn't a case of his prescription being wrong. It was a case of one formal, desk-oriented pair being asked to cover a role it was never designed for — visually or stylistically.
The consultation
Rather than adjusting his existing Silhouette pair, we designed a second pair from the ground up; balancing clinical precision with the fun, approachable style he wanted.
The frame — bold and approachable. A striking Annu violet frame with gold temples: playful and distinctive enough for his role as an influencer and water park host, refined enough to still look polished when he wants it to.
The lenses — ruby-tinted distance progressives. Unlike his formal, screen-focused Silhouette pair, these lenses were customized for outdoor, distance-heavy vision:
Crisp distance sight for driving and surveying the park
A ruby tint for high-contrast, comfortable vision in bright sun — while complementing the violet frame
How it turned out, in his words
Now, I even wear these to meetings on days when I want to show off a more playful side
What started as a request for a fun outdoor pair became something he reaches for by choice, even in formal settings. This is proof that clinical correctness and personal style don't have to compete!
